I remember the start of my high school career well. At twelve, I was head and shoulders above all of the girls, and most of the boys, in my class. Over time, many of them caught up, but I’m still of above average height. Now, some women would kill to be tall, but if you’ve ever tried on the perfect jeans, only to realize that they appear not to be talking to your shoes, you’ll understand the issues surrounding dressing a taller figure. I’ve found that clean lines, and darker colors, work for me, and since I am (now) confident being taller; I’ve even been known to wear a bright red suit on occasion. Since tall women can pull off just about any look, feel free to play around with proportions and fashion until you find your unique style, although, to reduce the intimidation factor, I do suggest opting for lower heels most of the time.
Secret Tip #283: Because trousers that are long enough for taller women are hard to come by, if you find a store that sells them, whether jeans or formal trousers, make a note of their name and address. That way, you will always know where to go! Alternatively, consider having trousers made up to your specifications by a seamstress
