Japan Trip : Day 5
Hi again after so long!
So.. from where I left off previously was that we returned to Tokyo and I went snowboarding for the first time ever in this post.
We traveled to the outskirts of Tokyo and arrived at this small town which was kind of dead I guess because it was still pretty early and they were still shoveling snow out of the roads..
We had to walk till the end of this road to the base of the snowboarding mountain.
A pile of snow that was almost my height :O
Arrived at this canteen for a light lunch before getting our gears :D
The view outside our window.
Yummy ramen! :D
Changed into our snowboarding shoes that were so hard to walk in!!
Felt like penguins in them haha
All wrapped up and ready haaha
Making our way up and they were just one guy on it other than us
Reached the top!!
Screen shot the two of this from a video my mom took of me haha.
At that point, I totally gave up and couldn't be bothered of how I looked anymore.
Snow boarding was hella tough for me because I was so unfit and scared so I only managed to slide a little.
We didn't even get any training on how to snowboard and just went for it lol..

After that, we went to the bottom and took that car ride thing up(inserted a pic above, I have no idea what it's called)
Also my first time so I thought it'll slow down for people to get down but apparently it didn't so I missed the platform for beginners to get off and ended up going all the way up to the advance one because I didn't wanna take the ride down as I'd be facing the view and I'm really scared of heights so I just took a leap and fell on my face at the platform.
Which was hilarious because as my body was flat down on the ground, I was thinking if I should roll to my left or right so that my head doesn't hit the moving seats.
As I was thinking so hard,
(my sis told me this part because she was at the next seat/car thing behind me)
the man/ security guy actually stopped the whole ride because he thought I fainted and he was running towards me asking me if I was okay.
I saw him reached out his hand from the corner of my eye and I gave him my hand but he took my board instead HAHA wtf
Okay so I got up and realised everything, got back my board, apologised, and moved forward to wait for my sister.
I was still so frightened from the whole thing so my sis just suggested we sit on our snowboards and control with our hands and make our way down slowly. Which was alright.. but still very scary.
By the time I reached the bottom again, my jeans were all soaked wet and I was freezing.
My mom was chilling at this cafe so we joined her.
Icicles :O Always seen them in cartoons only.
We warmed up in the cafe for awhile and I stayed in there while my sis went for another round with my mom.
Waiting for the train back to the city.
At the sushi place for dinner! :D
Chef making my sushi in front of me
What I ordered :D
Which I thought we share but I ended up eating like 85% of the sushi here.
End of Day 5!
There are only 2 more days left of this trip and we didn't really do much so I think I'll try squeezing them into one post as I visited Japan again in the Sakura season earlier this year and I have not collated the pics for that trip yet.
Byee for now!
xx
